Our FOUNDER's story
Our founder Milo travelled worldwide looking for happy and fulfilling lifestyles, he then came across Cuban Salsa Culture! “I noticed that many (Dutch) people feel insecure about dancing, while it is more accepted in other cultures like Cuba. I experienced how salsa sparks individual and collective passion, while family and friendship is celebrated by dancing together.”
He started to share his passion for salsa with friends. Soon it became friends of friends, and now nearly everyone knows someone who can dance salsa. It became his mission to transform the social fabric of Amsterdam and beyond. Driven to inspire connection through dance, he believes it can give people the vibrant and joyful life that they deserve.
We continuously work towards a more impactful business model. “As a social entrepreneur I look beyond the joy of dance. I prefer to empower students to share their passion, to start teaching even. We incorporate modern techniques for learning and development and social psychology. Many students have become teachers and several people have now opened their own dance studio’s! We aim to stimulate personal growth and professional development as we love to go beyond what people would expect when signing up for salsa classes.”
I feel grateful for all the people who have already found joy, purpose, and community at STG and wish for many others to have a valuable experience joining our Academy.

Super leuke community en leuke salsa lessen! Robin Waalwijk2024-04-13 Amaizing courses and people☺️ John Doe2024-04-12 Lovely instructors and great atmosphere! Armina Stepan2024-04-12 I came for a dance tryout, but I stayed for the dance lifestyle (and a great amount of new friends to boot). This dance school teaches cuban salsa in a way that even those with stiff legs and hips like me get the hang of it and pick up on the fun very quickly. A fun and energetic vibe that feels like a slice of summer in rainy Amsterdam Jonathan Mitnik2023-12-21 Talking from a very personal perspective, I believe it [Open Class] made a big difference along my journey because it gave me the environment I needed for practising. If you want to settle what you learned in class, having a concept like this is key. Socials, even though you learn a lot, are different - everything goes fast and you just go for the fun. However, I always used open classes for working on technique and get a transition from "the theory learned in class" towards "the practise". It is not the same learning a new move isolated than in an improvised dance sequence, you need to work on "greasing" the whole thing to make it look smooth. And many times, the key relies on a small detail that only a teacher's eye can catch, and this makes a huge difference... it is like somewhat which helps you to unlock a figure completely.
